Thomas Yuin University student clubs on campus represent a wide variety of interests. From organizations such as the Accounting Society to the Nas Honor Society. Areas of shared interest include academics, careers, culture, the arts, advocacy and community.

You can meet up with students who share your interests by joining existing clubs or starting a new club.

 Academic Clubs 

-The Accounting Society
  • The Accounting Society aims to enhance the professional, academic, and social lives of its members. The fundamental goals of the society are to establish a professional culture and facilitate networking among accounting students, faculty, and industry professionals through speaker engagement events, career-building workshops, and community service. The Accounting Society strives to educate its members about current accounting and business issues, while simultaneously helping its members learn the hard and soft skills required to become successful business professionals and community leaders in today’s competitive business environment.
-The Medical History Society
  • The Medical History Society is a space where students will be able to delve into the rich history of medicine, to learn about the evolution of medical practices, treatments, and technologies over time.
  • Through preservation of knowledge and interdisciplinary learning members we will be able to raise awareness about the importance of understanding medical history in the context of modern healthcare and medical ethics. We recommend all students who join this club have a strong stomach.
  • Please be aware at this moment the MHS is not accepting new members as Professor Hendreth is aboard.
-National Student Nurse Association
  • The purpose of the Thomas Yuin-Bursin Student Nurses Association (TYBSNA) is to provide activities and functions that contribute to the fundamental and professional development of future nurses. The organization aims to unite students and faculty alike to create a stimulating, productive and fun environment that will promote school unity and cohesion.
  • Please note this club is only open to students in the Nursing program or taking the route to the Nursing program.
-The Medical Laboratory Science Club
  • The Medical Laboratory Science Club is dedicated to learning and developing professionalism while providing gateways to become better scientists. To build a beneficial environment and support all members academically as well as mentally to enhance their academic performances in class. To also provide rigorous curriculum, and transformational learning experiences in a dynamic and inclusive scholarly environment.
  • Please note this club is only open to students in the Medical Laboratory Science program or taking the route to Medical Laboratory Science.
-Psychology Club
  • The purpose of the Psychology Club is to facilitate a cohesive social group aimed at providing students with an opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for the discipline of psychology, and to facilitate the dissemination of relevant information for matters of concern to members.
  • This club is open to all students however applications for the club go through Dr. Yuin and must be submitted every 1st of the month. 

Advocacy and Leadership

-The Coalition of  Servilin Lithin Students 
  • The CSLS was created as a safe space to all students who may identify as Servilin attending Thomas Yuin University. The club is run and managed by fellow Servilin students and allows for the sharing of experiences and learning more about Servil history. 
  • CSLS members are required to be Servilin. Students not Servilin have the opportunity to learn more about the club on open club days established by CSLS. 
-CAFOA Team
  • CAFOA (Countries Acting For One Another) is a student club based around the United Treaties in order to inform and ensure Thomas Yuin students, faculty, and the university itself act in accordance to the treaty. This club gives students the shot at a role with leadership and politics. 
  • This club is open to all students and applications are due on the 15th every 3 months. 
-Students Alliance on Mental Health (SAMH)
  • Our goal is to raise mental health awareness on campus, reduce the stigma of mental illness, and encourage a healthy discussion on various mental health topics. We will also work to foster a supportive community at Thomas Yuin and to increase awareness of the mental health services available at Thomas Yuin and in the communities.
-Queer Student Union
  • To ensure a safe environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Asexual, Queer, Pansexual, and others (recognizing that our community is always growing – referred to herein as “LGBTQIA+”) persons of all backgrounds and their allies by establishing a space free of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and religionism.
-Green thumb Society of Thomas Yuin University 
  • A diverse group of professionals, faculty, alumni and students affiliated with the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at Thomas Yuin University in Seethan. Our mission is to provide a platform for members to actively participate in projects, events and other activities in environmental science and sustainable development. We seek to promote intellectual and professional development through discussion, interdisciplinary collaboration and external networks.

Culture 

All culture clubs can be described as this: The purpose of these clubs is to represent and spread the rich culture and history of places of origin. Clubs also serve to educate and dispel harmful stereotypes. Clubs move to acknowledge the impact places of origin have had on other locations. Clubs also work to provide safe spaces for everyone from said places and those willing to learn more.

Honor Societies 

-Nas Honor Society 
  • Encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence. Students in the NHS are granted an automatic scholarship for their excellence in academia. 
  • Please note the NHS is by invitation only via the Thomas Yuin committee during the admission process.
